What our families said...

We take great pride in the letters received by our homes each day.  Many of these letters evidence that our values are alive and well in our homes, practised by our teams. We'd like to thank everyone that sent a letter or card in.

"To everyone at The Ashton, many thanks for your wonderful care for dad during his three-month stay with you. We know he wasn’t easy most of the time. Thank you all once again" Shelia and Sue

"Thank you to all the staff at The Ashton for your care and attention of June during her short time with you, as a family we are so appreciative of the care and support you took of her and us through these difficult few weeks, words can’t adequately express our gratitude to you."
With much love from Jane.

"To all the staff at The Ashton many thanks for making our fifty-seven wedding anniversary so special. We enjoyed our lunch very much but were delighted when ‘the cake’ was brought in, how thoughtful, we had a lovely afternoon with the family it was just like being at home."
 Kind regards, Brenda Blythman

"Dear staff, I don’t know all your names, but a few I do, Lyn, Claire and Louise you have all been so lovely just to say thank you so much for all you do for dad each day and all the grumblings you have to cope with. I appreciate all you do and thank you too for being so lovely to me during my visit"
Best Wishes Amanda.

"To all staff, I would like to thank you all for the care, love, compassion and understanding you have shown me and my mum the year she has been with you, it has been a rollercoaster of a ride with emotions and my mums needs and requirements. At first you did have a lot of teething problems as a new home but things did improve. My mum was very happy and settled with you and very fond of many staff members, the home is comfy, warm, welcoming and clean that’s important. The staff although some very young to empathise with the elderly a lot of professional care was given. Respect and dignity always shown yet hugs and kisses given out. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and mums too."
Best wishes, Sandra Kay

"To all Nursing and Care Staff on floor 2. Michelle, Codruta, Anne, Natalie, Flame, Lou, Toby, Tony, Ray, Chantelle, all of you! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care and kindness you all showed to our mum and friend, Madge Bates. In the time she spent with you, especially in her final days. It was difficult for all of us to ‘’put her in a home’’ but it had got to a point where she needed more than we could provide at home and you all stepped admirably up to the plate to take over from us. I know as the weeks passed she came to love you all. You not only cared for our mum but for us too and we will always be eternally grateful for that. It’s hard to let go when you’ve had your mum for so long, but your care helped. Her death has left a big hole in our lives but rather than holding on to the sadness we are intent on filling up that hole with lovely memories and gratitude for all she was to us, mum, friend, confidante, helpmate. She is free now with love to you all. Keep up the Stirling work. We will miss you too as you became our friends in the time of our mums need. Anne, Nick, David, Jim. P.s if you are not named personally it doesn’t mean you aren’t important we thank you all."

Jo, all staff in the office and ‘front of house’ thank you for ensuring mums needs were met.
Jean, Tony, Terrie.

To the manager, Michelle and all the carers who looked after my mum Muriel Smith. On behalf of my family, I wanted to thank you most sincerely for the care and attention which you gave to my mum. I would especially like to thank Georgina who cared for my husband and me just after mum passed away, she said it was her first experience. She was kind, considerate and very professional, I hope she carries the experience with her throughout her time caring for people. We will see you soon when we deliver my mums 2 recliner chairs which we hope will be of good use to you,"
Kind Regards
Dorothy and Trevor Dolman.
