Nursing Care

Nursing care is a suitable option for older people who require round the clock medical support in addition to personal care. Residents at our nursing home receive the highest levels of nursing care during the day and night. Our nursing care team goes above and beyond to ensure all well-being needs are met in a safe and supportive environment. Rooms are equipped with specialist nursing care equipment such as profiling beds, hoists and nurse call systems for maximum comfort.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a progressive condition that affects parts of the brain and reduces one’s memory, thinking and social abilities. However, residents living with dementia can continue to live happy life by receiving specialist dementia care. Our aim is to provide support and assistance in order to better a resident’s life while keeping their independence where possible.

We understand that every resident with dementia requires a different level of care and that care requirements may change over the course of their stay, that’s why we carry out an evaluation on residents at the start and throughout their stay to ensure your loved one receives the right care for their needs.

Respite Care

Respite care is a type of care which is available for a duration of time, usually a few weeks or months, depending on the individual’s circumstances. Respite care is ideal for full-time carers who are in need of a break from duties for a while. Our staff will be able to look after the person in need until the carer feels ready to resume.

Respite care is also a great care option for those who have recently suffered from a fall or illness and need a comfortable place to rest until they feel back to themselves. No matter how long someone needs to stay with us, we promise a pleasant stay where appropriate care is given.

We Offer Our Support for You & Your Loved Ones

Knowing when the right time is to move a loved one into a care home can be a difficult situation to be in, especially as there are many Leicestershire Care Homes that offer different services. It may be that you have noticed a loved one is finding it difficult to upkeep their household or that they are showing symptoms of memory loss. We want to make the process a little bit easier and welcome you into our care home to discuss the individual’s situation.

The team at The Ashton understand that every resident will require a different level of high quality care that’s why we always evaluate our residents prior to admission in order to establish a suitable care plan. They will then be regularly assessed to ensure the right care is always given during their stay. Our goal is for prospective residents and their loved ones to gain more knowledge about the types of care available at our care home in Leicestershire and feel confident with taking the next steps.

We are proud to be regulated and associated with the Care Quality Commission. The Care Quality Commission is a public body who regulates all health and social care services in England. This ensures that the quality and safety of care across all care sectors meets a certain standard. The Ashton’s dedicated team will continue to work hard in all areas of the care home so that our rating remains as high as possible.
