A Very Merry Christmas Market Fundraiser

This month, The Ashton was alive with festive cheer as we hosted a delightful Christmas Market in support of the charity Make a Wish. The event brought together residents, families, staff, and members of the local community for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and generosity.

The market featured a wonderful array of stalls, offering everything from handmade crafts to seasonal treats, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. A highlight of the day was the beautiful performance by the Church choir, whose carols filled the air with warmth and joy. The combination of these efforts, along with the enthusiasm of those who attended, allowed us to raise an incredible £345.70 for Make a Wish, a charity that creates life-changing experiences for children with critical illnesses.

Beyond raising funds for such a meaningful cause, the event also created a unique opportunity to bring our residents and the wider community together. Seeing the joy on the faces of our residents as they browsed the market, chatted with visitors, and joined in the festive fun was truly heartwarming. Events like this help to nurture a sense of belonging and connection, which is so important to well-being, especially during the festive season.
