June Highlights
At The Ashton Care Home in Hinckley, we have had a busy June full of activities, events, and celebrations.
Aspiration Afternoon at Hinckley Parks Primary School
We were recently invited to have a table at our local primary school for their Aspiration Afternoon. The purpose of this was to introduce children to a range of different occupations, and for them to ask questions about what we do as professionals in the care industry.
It was such a joy to be able to tell the children about what it is like to work at a care home like The Ashton and all the different roles that you could pursue, as well as see young people who seemed to have a genuine interest in a future career in care.
The Aspiration Afternoon was a great way to strengthen our community links and we hope to do more with the schools and children in our local area in the near future.
Dianna and Isaac pass their Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE)
It was a proud moment for two of our new nurses, Dianna and Issac who have joined our team from overseas, as they passed their Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE).
This is a big achievement for both Dianna and Issac and we are extremely proud of them for their hard-work and commitment.
They have both been a great addition to our team and have really helped us reinforce our person-centred, around-the-clock approach to nursing care that we have here at The Ashton.
If you would like to find out more about our community involvement here at The Ashton Care Home, or are interested in a career with us, then please get in contact with our friendly team or visit our careers page.
